This is the profile that shows as active if I go to system preferences>Ĭolor. When I go into my applications folder and first open the Blue Eye software I get this error code 'Alert Error=12 file not open (for reading): y/ColorSync/Profiles/ 02.10.09-650k-18-95cd.icc'. Make sure your system meets requirements'. Next step, I went to the Lacie web site to install the latest updates, when I try to run the install for the download I get the warning exclamation icon with my Macintosh HD icon, with the message 'blue eye pro 4.5.4 updater can't be installed on this disk. I uninstalled-reinstalled the Blue Eye software and created a second profile (I now have one for gamma 1.8, 6500k, 90cd as well as one for gamma 2.2, 6500k and 120cd) but had the same issue with running the test report. When I ran this I got an error code and the report contained no info, only the words 'text' where number values for gamma, cd etc. The problems started when I selected the 'test and report' option. The resulting profile was saved successfully. I selected calibrate monitor-installed the puck and did a calibration. I installed the Blue Eye Pro software (v 4.2.2) from the disc that came with the monitor. I have been corresponding with Lacie tech support since Oct 2nd (when we set the new computer up) but they have been of no help at all! So, I thought I would ask for help here. My only issue at the present seems to be some bugs with the Blue Eye software and Snow Leopard. Outside of the learning curve one experiences with a new OS-platform (like, how do I open the disc drives, LOL!) I really like my new Mac. It is connected (via DVI) to a Lacie 320 monitor that I purchased from BH photo as a kit with the Blue Eye Pro calibration software and colorimeter. I now have a Mac Pro running Snow Leopard, 2.66 quad, 6GB RAM, 1TB HD, loaded up with CS4 and Lightroom 2.5. I was so fed up with windows OS that when my old PC (Velocity Micro, Dell fp2000 (calibrated -profiled with Spyder 3 Elite) monitor, PSE5, Vista ultimate 32bit) needed a new motherboard I thought it was a good time to split from the whole program and make a fresh start with my digital imaging.
